Peace of thread is an organization near and dear to my heart. Denise Smith saw a need for refugee woman that came to our country without a way to make money. Instead of giving a hand out, she gave a hand up. and helped by teaching woman from countries all over the world a new trade, sewing.
Mission Statement: We envision a world where every woman has dignity, value and a voice. We believe that through advocacy, empowerment, and employment, women who are marginalized and vulnerable can become confident.
Our purpose is to create a space where empowered women can empower women through relationships. We promote the exchanging of cultures and the holistic development of every woman. We do this by teaching life, business, and language skills through the platform of designing and sewing "one-of-a-kind" purses, bags, and accessories using up-cycled materials.
We believe in sewing peace wherever we are and with whoever we connect with.
